Qualifications and competence
Laboratory of Work Environment Research of the Institute of Petroleum Processing has the
authorization to perform environmental research of the work places in the scope of:
- determination of the chemical air contaminants
- measurement of noise
- measurement of microclimate
The letter of authorization No 26/2005 granted by the Health Inspector of Malopolska Voivodeship.
Laboratory of Work Environment Research participates in testing of proficiency in determination of toxic substances of the work places organized by:
- Institute of Occupational Medicine in Lodz
- Health & Safety Laboratory - United Kingdom
Laboratory of Work Environment Research performs the testing and b> quality management system, which was certified by Bureau
Veritas Quality International - Certificate No 146553
Laboratory of Work Environment Research has numerous sets for individual collecting of air samples, meeting the requirements of the binding standards, officially approved and metrologically inspected. It follows that there is possibility of simultaneous collection of air samples at several workstations, which reduces testing costs.
Laboratory of Work Environment Research carries out, as one of the few laboratories, determination of the content of paraffin smoke, polycyclic aromatic hydrocarbons, polychlorinated biphenyls at workstations and, at employers request, determines these
substances in mixtures, liquids, and processing, capacitor, lubricating, used oils
Laboratory of Work Environment Research ensures impartiality, independence, reliability and suitability of performed testing and confidentiality of all information concerning conducted
tests and tested products, obtained during the performance of orders in accordance with the requirements of the established quality management system for research laboratories governed by the EN 45001, ISO/IEC 17025: 2000 standard . The Laboratory offers help with solving technical problems in order to minimize occupational risk at the work places.
